If you purchased Quicken 2018 from Quicken.com, you don't need an activation code. Your purchase is linked to your Quicken ID, which you use to sign in to Quicken. Just download, install, and launch Quicken 2018, and sign in with your Quicken ID and password.


If you purchased Quicken 2018 from a retailer (not Quicken.com), either as a boxed version or a download, you need an activation code to activate your membership. The activation code is a 16-digit code that can be found on the card inside your CD box, or in your order confirmation email if you purchased a download.


To use the activation code, follow these steps:


  • Download Quicken 2018 from quicken.com/download.



  • Install and launch Quicken 2018.



  • Follow the steps to sign in or create a new Quicken ID.



  • Click Begin Activation to start the process of activating your membership.



  • Enter your activation code and click Continue.



  • Your membership is now activated and you can start using Quicken 2018.



If you lose your activation code before you use it, please contact Quicken Support. If you lose your activation code after you use it, don't worry. You don't need the code anymore once it has been used. You can reinstall Quicken 2018 by signing in to Quicken.com with your Quicken ID and downloading Quicken.
